There's a car on the beach!

Mit dem Auto an den Strand fahren, das wünschen sich viele, aber mit dem Auto auf dem Strand zu fahren ist noch einmal etwas anderes. Statt Asphalt Sand unter den Rädern zu haben. Nach dem wir es uns zwei mal überlegt haben, ob unser Auto es packt auf dem Strand zu fahren, haben wir uns dafür entschieden. Der Strand heißt Himatangi Beach und ist ca. 40 Minuten von Marton entfernt. Das Besondere? Man darf mit dem Auto auf dem Strand fahren (Höchstgeschwindigkeit: 30 km/h) und man steht wenn man aussteigt gleich im Sand. Man muss nur aufpassen, dass man nicht über die kleinen Baumstämme fährt, die auf dem Strand verteilt sind oder ins Wasser, dass manchmal näher kommt, als man denkt. Aber der Strand ist nicht nur deswegen sehr schön. Sondern weil er auch sehr flach ins Wasser geht. Am Sonntag war dieser Ausflug unser Plan B (weil der geplante Skitrip ins Wasser gefallen ist). Wir sind im Regen losgefahren und als wir am Strand angekommen sind standen wir in der Sonne. Blick nach rechts - Sonnenschein und blauer Himmel, Blick nach Links dunkle Wolken und Regen, was unglaublich schön aussah.

To go with the car to the beach that's the wish of a lot of people. But to drive with the car on the beach is even more exciting. Sand instead of asphalt under the wheels. After we thought twice if our car can manage it to drive on the beach we decided for it. The beach is called Himatangi Beach and it is 40 minutes away from Marton. What's special about it? You are allowed to drive there with the car (max speed: 30 km/h) and when you get out you stand in the sand. You only have to be careful that you do not drive above tree trunk which are all over the beach or into the water which comes more fast than one might think. But the beach is also very nice because it goes flat into the water. On sunday the trip was our plan B (the planed ski trip was canceled). We started the driving in the rain and when we arrived at the beach we stood in the sun. Sight to the right - sunshine and blue sky, sight to the left dark clouds and rain. It looked beautiful.
