An unserem letztem Abend sind wir auf den Paritutu Rock geklettert, um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen. Um auf den Berg zu kommen muss man erst mehrere Treppen hoch, bis dann die Treppen aufhören und man den Berg hochklettern muss. Es gibt nur eine Kette, an der man sich festhalten kann. Als wir oben angekommen sind waren wir erstmal außer Atem, aber der Ausblick war sehr schön. Man konnte die Sugar Loaf Islands sehen und hatte auch einen schönen Ausblick auf New Plymouth und den Mt. Taranaki. Wir sind auf den Berg mit zwei anderen Mädchen, die bei uns im Zimmer im Hostel waren, gegangen. Die Beiden machen Au-pair und wohnen gerade in Auckland.
Am nächsten Tag sind wir erst ins Puke Ariki Museum gegangen, in dem gerade eine Ausstellung über Musik und Emotionen ist. Diese war ziemlich interessant und man konnte sein eigenes Lied komponieren.
Danach sind wir in den Egmount National Park gefahren, um zu den Kapuni loop Track zu machen. Dabei ist man zu den Dawson Falls gekommen. Das ist ein Wasserfall, der 18 m in die Tiefe stürtzt. Das war ein schöner Platz für ein Picknick, bevor wir wieder heim gefahren sind.
On our last evening we went to the Paritutu Rock to see the sunset. To get on the mountain you have to walk up some stairs fist, than the stairs stop and you have to climb up the rock. At the side was only a string on which one could pull up. When we were at the top we were out of breath but the view was very nice. You could see the Sugar Loaf Islands and had a good view of New Plymouth and Mt. Taranaki. We went on the mountain with two other girls of our room in the hostel. Both are doing au-pair and live in Auckland. It was really nice to meet them.
On the next day we first went to the Puke Ariki Museum to see an exhibition about "Music and Emotins". This was quite interesting and you could compose you own song.
Than we drove to the Mt. Egmount National Park to do the Kapuni Loop Track. In the track the Dawson Falls were included. This waterfall goes 18m into the deep and it was a nice place for a picnic before we went home.
