Weihnachten steht vor der Tür! Deswegen haben wir uns dazu entschieden, die Weihnachtsmützen raus zu kramen und einen Tag in der Weihnachtsmütze zu verbringen. An diesem Tag haben wir uns entschieden durch das Fiordland zu fahren bis zum Milford Sound. Einige Bereiche sind sind nur schwer zu erreichen, oft auch nur mit dem Boot. Aber man kann den Milford Sound mit dem Auto erreichen (allerdings sollte man davor tanken, da es auf der Strecke keine Tankstelle gibt). Das Fiordland sieht wunderschön aus, die großen Berge, vielen Wasserfälle und der Schnee der neben der Straße lag (im Sommer!).
Christmas is coming! So we decided to spent the day in a christmas hat. On thet day we drove through the Fiordland to Milford Sound. Some sounds are really difficult to reach. A lot of them are only accessible by boat. But one can get to Milford Sound by car (be aware that there is no petrol station). The Fiordland looks anazing. There are big mountains, a lot of waterfalls und there was snow next to the road (in the summer!).
Milford Sound ist sehr schön. Wir hatten dort Glück mit dem Wetter, da es dort an über 250 Tage im Jahr regnet.Die Landschaft ist toll. Allerdings sind dort sehr viele Touristen. So viele Touribusse wie dort hab ich in Neuseeland noch nicht gesehen. Das gute ist, dass man keine Sehenswürdigkeit verpassen kann, da alles auf einer Straße ist. Wir heben an einigen Punkten gehalten, so auch am richtigen Mirrow Lake. Leider war dort aber keine Spiegelung zu sehen, weil es zu windig war. Im Fiordland haben wir auch den typisch neuseeländischen Vogel Kea gesehen, dieser ist aber sehr frech und kann auch Löcher in Autoreifen beißen.
Milford Sound is very beautiful. We were quite lucky with the weather because it is raining about 250 days at Milford Sound. The landscape is just beautiful. But there are a lot of tourists. I haven't seen so many tourist busses before in New Zealand. The good thing is that you can not miss a sight because there is only one street. So we stopped at some points. As well at the real Mirrow Lake but sadly it wasn't a mirrow when we got there because it was too windy. On our way through the Fiordland we saw the new Zealand bird Kea which is very cheeky and can bite holes in a tyer.
