Happy New Year!

Frohes Neues Jahr, auch wenn das ungefähr zwei Monate zu spät kommt und die ersten Neujahrvorsätze wahrscheinlich schon gebrochen sind, möchte ich euch noch von meinen Start ins neue Jahr erzählen. Alina, Conny und ich waren wieder zurück auf der Nordinsel, um in Wellington ins neue Jahr zu starten. Abends sind wir zuerst in das Thai Haus gegangen, um dort zu Abend zu essen. Das Essen war richtig lecker. Um Mitternacht sind wir zum Wasser, um das Feuerwerk anzuschauen. Das Feuerwerk war zwar sehr kurz, aber trotzdem schön und vor allem auch die Spiegelung im Wasser war sehr schön. In Neuseeland ist Privatfeuerwerk nicht erlaubt, deswegen war an der Wasserfront sehr viel los. Allerdings wird nicht wie in Deutschland mit Sekt angestoßen, da es ein Alkoholverbot auf der Straße gibt.

Happy New Year! That comes about two months too late and some new year resulutions are probably already broken but I want to tell you about my start in the new year anyway. Alina, Conny and me went back to the North Island to celebrate new year in Wellington. In the evening we first went in the Thai house to have dinner there. The food was delicious. At midnight we went to the waterfront to see the fireworks. It was short but nice and the reflection in the water looked beautiful. In New Zealand you are not allowed to have a private firework and you can't buy it. That's why it was quite full at the waterfront. And you don't raise your glass with sparkling wine because there is an alkohol restriktion on the streets.

Danach ging es los, um das neue Jahr zu feiern. Wir sind in verschiedene Clubs gegangen. Den ersten morgen des neuen Jahres haben wir mit einem gutem Frühstück angefangen, bei dem es für mich Pancakes und eine Eisschokolade gab. Danach ging es für uns wieder zurück nach Hause, nach Marton, wo leider nicht so gute Nachrichten auf uns warteten.

After it we went out to celebrate the new year. We went in different clubs. On the first morning in the new year we started with a good brakfast where I had pancakes and an ice chocolate. Then we went home to Marton where we didn't get good news.
